15 Lightroom Presets for Black & White Photography
A collection of 15 black & white Lightroom presets developed through my commercial and personal photographic work.
The pack leans towards a timeless, contrast-rich aesthetic, with particular attention to tonal separation, skin tones, shadow detail and highlights.
I’ve used variations of these presets across both portraiture and landscape photography. Some produce a relatively subtle monochrome conversion, while others introduce considerably more contrast and drama, giving you a range of starting points depending on the photograph and the result you’re looking for.

Every photograph responds differently to a black & white conversion. Exposure, lighting, camera profile, colour information and the tonal range of the original image can all influence the final result.
Some photographs may require little more than applying a preset, while others will benefit from further adjustments to exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows or the individual colour channels.
These presets are intended to provide a considered starting point for your black & white edit, while leaving you free to refine the photograph to suit your own style and subject.
