Exhibition Edition Prints
Exhibition Editions represent the definitive fine-art presentation of my photographs.
Each work is produced individually to the highest archival standards, using carefully selected materials and a hands-on process that extends from the first proof through to final framing and inspection.
Selected photographs are released as an Exhibition Edition of ten numbered works worldwide, together with one Artist’s Proof.
Every work is signed, numbered or marked AP, embossed with my artist’s stamp and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Materials
The quality and longevity of a photographic print begin with the paper on which it is made.
Each Exhibition Edition is printed on 315 g/m², 100% cotton archival fine-art paper, selected for its surface, tonal reproduction and archival qualities.
The paper is produced by a mill with a history extending over four centuries, continuing a tradition of fine papermaking that long predates photographic printing itself.
For me, the finished work begins with getting these fundamental materials right.
Proofing
Before an Exhibition Edition is produced, I personally proof the photograph to ensure that the printed image reflects the intended colour, tone and detail of the final work.
Proofs are assessed alongside a colour-managed digital workflow and refined where necessary. This process continues until I am satisfied with the relationship between the digital master and the physical print.
Only then is the photograph approved for production.
Artist’s Proof
Each photograph designated for an Exhibition Edition has a single Artist’s Proof, marked AP 1/1.
The Artist’s Proof is produced to the same archival specification and at the same 841 × 594 mm size as the numbered Exhibition Edition.
It is signed, embossed with my artist’s stamp and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Only one Artist’s Proof exists for each photograph. It sits alongside, but outside, the numbered edition of ten and is itself available for acquisition.
Once acquired, no further Artist’s Proof of that photograph will be produced.
Printing
Each photograph is individually proofed, printed and inspected under my supervision.
I work closely with trusted specialist print technicians throughout production, assessing colour, tonal balance, detail and the physical condition of every print before it is approved.
This remains a deliberately hands-on process. Once complete, each work is signed, individually numbered or marked AP, and embossed with my artist’s stamp.
Framing
Once printing is complete, the work moves to the framing workshop.
The photograph is first archivally mounted onto an acid-free substrate, ensuring that it remains perfectly flat while providing additional protection and stability.
The work is then double mounted, retaining a considered area of paper white around the photograph, and presented within a handcrafted hardwood box frame.
Museum-grade, optically clear, anti-reflective glass sourced from Switzerland completes the presentation. Providing 99% UV protection, it is selected to preserve the clarity, colour and detail of the photograph while minimising distracting reflections.
Every Exhibition Edition and Artist’s Proof is produced to this fixed size and presentation specification.
Final Inspection
Before leaving the studio, every completed work undergoes a final inspection.
The print, mounting, framing, glass, signature, edition number or AP designation and embossing are checked before a corresponding Certificate of Authenticity is issued.
If the work does not meet the required standard, it does not leave the studio.

The Artist’s Proof is produced to the same size, materials and archival specification as the numbered Exhibition Edition and is individually marked AP 1/1.

The photograph is double mounted, retaining a considered area of paper white, and presented within a handcrafted hardwood box frame.

Custom sizes are not available for Exhibition Editions or Artist’s Proofs.
