Tigué - Dogon Tribe

The Dogon are known for their villages embedded into the cliffs of the northern and southern plateaus; some believed to be over 3000 years old. Much of these remote areas can only be accessed on foot and as a result, aren't policed. The responsibility then falls on the 'hunters' to protect the villagers and their livestock, while the elders (pictured) cast judgement on any wrongdoing.
